This starts even before you step on board. We are happy to help you prepare so that you know exactly what to expect.

This starts even before you step on board. We are happy to help you prepare so that you know exactly what to expect. During your trip, you will sail with an expert crew who have the right knowledge and experience. Our skippers have completed all the necessary training and hold the required qualifications, including first aid certificates. So you can rest assured that you are in safe hands.
Although our ships have a rich history, they are maintained with great care and love. Every ship affiliated with the FrieseVloot meets all legal requirements. This means that you will be sailing on fully inspected sailing ships with valid certificates, such as the Certificate of Inspection (CVO) and the rigging inspection. These documents are always available for inspection on board. Would you prefer to receive them in advance? We will be happy to send them to you.
Not only our ships, but also our crews comply with all legal requirements. We believe it is important that you feel safe and secure, both on and around the ship. That is why we always go through the safety measures with you before departure. We explain how best to move around on deck, what emergency procedures are in place and where you can find safety equipment. We also discuss a number of practical matters on board, so that you can set sail with peace of mind.
