Wadden Sea expedition:
Sail the Wadden Sea on a flat-bottomed ship from Harlingen. Discover one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands. From Harlingen, you will set sail on a flat-bottomed ship to the mudflats, where nature, silence, and adventure come together. Enjoy seals, drying out on the tidal flats, and a unique experience on the water.

Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site:
The Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers. Sailing on the mudflats means letting yourself be carried along by the wind and the current, searching for the channels between the high sandbanks and being guided by the forces of nature around you. Mudflat sailing is both peaceful and adventurous, and you can enjoy one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the Netherlands.

Whether you are an experienced sailor or just want to discover something new, there is room for everyone on this trip. This trip is designed for anyone looking for a special experience and wanting to enjoy the peace, nature, and freedom of the Wadden Sea.
It is an adventurous sailing trip for children, parents, couples, singles, men, women, and anyone who is attracted to a cozy, relaxed, and adventurous holiday atmosphere.

Program
We depart from Harlingen on Monday, July 13, on board of the Vriendentrouw and sail with the wind to unknown destinations. We can dry out on the tidal mudflats, picnic on an island, search for mussels, catch crabs, laze in the sun, swim in salt water, draw with chalk on the lock, barbecue on a jetty, or simply enjoy cooking together and lingering at the table. Of course, there will also be sailing, and everyone is welcome to help set the sails, steer, and navigate.
Provisions will be stocked, beds are made, all you have to do is book and pack your suitcase. We welcome you aboard the Vriendentrouw!

On board: Monday, July 13, 2026, 10:00 a.m. in Harlingen
Disembarkation: Sunday, July 19, 2026, 4:00 p.m. in Harlingen

Price per person in EUR based on full board: including overnight stay (bunk bed), meals, non-alcoholic drinks, sailing guidance, duvets, towels, and final cleaning. Minimum of 7 participants and maximum of 12.

  • Price for one person in a shared cabin: 745.00
  • Children under 12 years of age receive a 50% discount
  • One-time per booking STO Guarantee: 15.00
