Traditional sailing on the Ijsselmeer
On Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., the crew will welcome you aboard. Your ship is moored in the Old Harbor of Stavoren, near the statue of the Lady of Stavoren. After meeting the skipper and getting to know the ship, you will receive a brief sailing and safety instruction, and then the sails will be hoisted for an active but relaxed sailing trip on the IJsselmeer.
Take the helm yourself and imagine yourself as a brave explorer! There is plenty of room on deck to relax and enjoy the wind in your hair.
The crew will treat you to a strong cup of coffee or a nice cup of tea with something tasty. Lemonade is available for younger sailors. Young and old alike will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere on board.
At 5:00 p.m., your ship will moor again in the port of departure. You can look back on a special nautical experience.
The FrieseVloot ships are fully equipped. We sail with a minimum of 6 people. Sailing experience is not necessary, but a sense of adventure is.
