Then join us on a sailing holiday in Friesland on the sailing ship Middelsee, a comfortable and well-maintained sailing yacht. During this midweek break on the water, you can relax, enjoy sports and sample the rich Frisian culture - together with a friendly group of fellow travellers.
Sailing across the Frisian lakes and the "Elfsteden-route"
We sail across the most beautiful waters of Friesland, including the Sneekermeer, the Fluessen and the Pikmeer near Grou. Along the way, we pass historic villages and towns that are part of the famous Frisian Eleven Cities Route. Every day has a new destination, with varied harbours, idyllic jetties or cosy places to spend the night on small islands in the middle of the water. The Frisian lakes are connected by canals, waterways and old rivers. Together, we experience the history and culture of Friesland from the water. We determine our destination based on the weather and wind, and of course the wishes of the group.
Accessible to everyone
Whether you are a seasoned sailor or have never held a rope before, no sailing experience is necessary. Our experienced crew will be happy to teach you the basics, but you are also welcome to relax and enjoy the view. This interactive holiday on the water is perfect for solo travellers, couples or small groups looking for a special experience in their own country.

Comfort and conviviality are central to this all-inclusive sailing holiday in Friesland. Our chef prepares tasty and nutritious meals every day, using fresh, local produce from the region as much as possible. From a generous breakfast to a warm evening meal, everything is taken care of for you. During the day, you can enjoy coffee, tea and something tasty. In the evening, there is room for a drink on deck – ideal for ending the day together with your fellow travellers. This cosy group trip on the Frisian lakes is fully catered, so all you have to do is enjoy the water, the landscape and each other's company.
