Easter weekend sailing
Experience sailing in the Netherlands during Easter with the Zeven Wouden, one of the atmospheric historic sailing ships in the fleet. You will roam the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea with the crew, enjoy meals prepared together, and experience the cozy atmosphere on board. If the weather is good, we will search for Easter eggs in the dunes on a Wadden Island or at another beautiful spot by the water.
Where is the trip?
This Easter trip allows you to discover the IJsselmeer and the Wadden Sea from an authentic flat-bottomed sailing ship. You will depart from the port of Stavoren, a great base for anyone who loves sailing in Friesland or a relaxing sailing holiday in the Netherlands. Depending on the wind and weather, you will enjoy beautiful sailing days, historic harbor towns, and the tranquility of nature. Sail on towards the Wadden Sea, where you will sail between sandbanks, spot seals, and experience the space and freedom of the mudflats.
Who is it for?
Whether you are an experienced sailor or have never held a rope before, everyone is welcome. Sailing on the Zeven Wouden is accessible and adventurous at the same time. Our experienced crew will be happy to teach you the basics of sailing, but you can also just relax and enjoy the ride.
This sailing trip is ideal for solo travelers, couples, small groups, and families looking for a special, active, and enjoyable vacation on a sailing ship. With a comfortable night on a boat and a new destination every day, it really feels like an escape from the daily routine.
Program:
Thursday, April 2, from 8:00 p.m., you can board the Zeven Wouden in Stavoren. After you have found your cabin and stowed your belongings, you will meet the other sailors. Skipper Janine will discuss the plans for the coming days.
Friday: After a delicious breakfast, we will cast off. We will sail across the IJsselmeer or towards the Wadden Sea. Around 4:00 p.m. (depending on wind and weather), we will moor in a harbor. Before or after dinner, you can take a walk or enjoy the relaxed atmosphere on board.
The following days follow the same rhythm: during the day we sail to a new destination, in the afternoon and evening there is time for relaxation.
Monday: At 4:00 p.m. you disembark in Stavoren.
On board: Thursday, April 2, 8:00 p.m. in Stavoren.
Disembarkation: Monday, April 6, 4:00 p.m. in Stavoren
Price per person in EUR based on full board: including accommodation (bunk bed), meals, drinks, guidance, and final cleaning.
