Sperwer

Stavoren
1 - 20 multi-day, 24-day trip

Experience and Passion
Skipper couple Michiel and Rosa sail the Sperwer with their two young children, just as was traditionally done 100 years ago.
At the helm is Michiel, a calm skipper with over 30 years’ experience. He knows the Wadden Sea like the back of his hand. With safety always in mind, he ensures everyone reaches their destination safely. Whenever the opportunity arises, he seizes the chance to sail into a harbour and moor without using the engine.
Rosa solves any problem in the blink of an eye. She can rarely sit still and helps out here and there, ensuring everything runs smoothly so that everyone can relax and feel at ease.
Both are happy to share their knowledge of sailing or the local area, and anyone who wishes to can get directly involved. This creates a relaxed atmosphere that both experienced and novice sailors can enjoy.

Adventures on the mudflats

The two-masted clipper Sperwer invites you on unforgettable sailing trips on the Wadden Sea. Michiel and Rosa bought this characterful ship because its shallow draught and fast hull make it perfect for taking shortcuts across sandbanks and experiencing the odd adventure or two.
Whether it’s a leisurely cruise on the IJsselmeer or a race across the mudflats towards the islands, both the ship and the crew adapt to your wishes.

Comfort and space
On deck, the seating area with its benches and beanbags offers a cosy spot to enjoy the fresh sea air and the ever-changing views.
Inside, the boat offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Sperwer has a bright and spacious saloon with plenty of room for the group, as well as comfortable cabins with storage space, perfect for relaxing after a day’s sailing.
Whether you’re keen to get involved in the sailing or simply want to relax and enjoy the experience, everyone can find their own pace on board the Sperwer.
