Spacious and light
The clipper Pelikaan is a traditional flat-bottomed ship that can accommodate 32 people on multi-day trips. The interior is spacious and light; large windows in the deck allow plenty of daylight into the salon. The cabins are also spacious and comfortable. On deck of this sailing ship, the benches near the entrance offer the opportunity to sit together comfortably while sailing and in port.

The skipper/owner Peter ter Laak not only has decades of experience as a skipper, he is also a certified mudflat walking guide. He likes to share his enthusiasm for sailing and the Wadden Sea with everyone who comes on board, from schoolchildren to companies.
Wadden Sea
Two mast clipper Pelikaan can also reach the quiet spots of the Wadden Sea due to its shallow draft. A weekend sailing from home port Harlingen to Terschelling or Vlieland is almost always a possibility and on a longer trip Ameland and Schiermonnikoog are within reach. The Lauwersmeer, Friesland with its inland waters and the IJsselmeer are also part of the Pelikaan's sailing area.
