Emma

Stavoren
7 - 20 multi-day, 25-day trip

Want to experience pure sailing? With the Emma, you will discover the power of wind and water. Skipper Stephan is friendly and practical. He prefers to be guided by the weather, the wind and the tide.

Back-to-basic sailing means relying on craftsmanship, being connected to nature and completely unwinding. And all this while the whole family – from young to old – will never be bored. Even the youngest members of the family are involved in sailing as much as possible.

Depending on the elements, the Emma will take you to the most beautiful spots. Like that one sandbank, that forgotten harbour or that bustling Zuiderzee town. Despite the traditional appearance of the Emma, there is a comfortable interior under the hatch cover. On deck, the Emma offers a spacious seating area. While enjoying a drink, you can watch a beautiful sunset, life in the harbour or the splashing water while sailing.

This stable, traditional sailing ship is particularly suitable for a relaxing (multi-day) sailing trip with family, friends, colleagues, a club or school class.

Enjoy an internet-free, relaxing stay on board the Emma! If it were up to the crew, the engine would run as little as possible. So sailing enthusiasts will certainly get their money's worth on the Emma. Sailing on the Emma means making the most of the wind and therefore travelling from one place to another in a climate-neutral way!

From her home port of Lemmer, the Emma sails on the Frisian inland waterways, as well as on the IJsselmeer and on longer trips on the Wadden Sea. Due to the shallow draught of this sailing ship, it can easily be beached on a sandbank at the right tide. On a trip through Friesland, Stephan likes to moor at “Konijneneiland”, an island in the Heegermeer near Heeg. A campfire or a game of football will give your holiday on the water that little bit extra!

While sailing, the group can help with hoisting and lowering the sails and other deck work. The sailor will give the necessary instructions. Stephan and Rebecca are enthusiastic sailors with extensive knowledge of the sailing area. He loves to share the beautiful and peaceful places around the IJsselmeer, the Wadden Sea and in Friesland with his guests.
