Spacious sea-going tjalk with modern accommodations
De Vrouw Dina is a sturdy sea-going tjalk that sails out of Enkhuizen. The ship features six double cabins and can accommodate 12 overnight guests. Each cabin has its own shower and toilet. This makes the ship ideal for a sailing trip with business guests, groups of friends, or a family outing.
General:
The keel of the zeetjalk De Vrouw Dina was laid in 1897. From his earliest childhood, the skipper, Simi Koornstra, spent his vacations and weekends aboard this ship, then still named ‘De Onrust’. In 2003, the ship was found in a state of disrepair and, through a joint effort, was renovated over a two-year period to its current condition.
A staircase leads to the bright and spacious salon. Here, there is a table with benches on either side. The layout is flexible; if you prefer a different arrangement, this is no problem. De Vrouw Dina features a modern and fully equipped kitchen with a four-burner gas stove, an oven, a refrigerator, a freezer, and a dishwasher. The ship is equipped with central heating.
The ship has six double cabins, each with its own shower and toilet. Upon arrival on board, the beds are made and towels are provided.
During the sailing trip, guests can use the deckhouse. From here, you have a beautiful view of the water and can experience the sailing maneuvers up close. There is plenty of space on deck to relax. A number of bean bags are available for guests.
Thanks to the flexible layout of the salon, the cabins with private showers and toilets, and the high railings, De Vrouw Dina is ideal for sailing trips with companies, families, and friends. We’d also be happy to organize your catering—please ask about the options!
The minimum group size on De Vrouw Dina is 6 adults. If the group does not wish to assist with sailing, please indicate this when booking. We will then bring an additional crew member so that we can sail even with a smaller number of active participants. The costs for this will be provided upon request.
