Makkum

Makkum is a village in the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân, in the Dutch province of Friesland. Makkum is located between the Afsluitdijk and Workum on the coast of the IJsselmeer. The village is known for its Makkumer Pottery. Makkum is also known as a water sports town and for its historic center.
