In 1913, this clipper left the slipway in Meppel. From 1932 she was a cargo motor clipper, and therefore the ship was extended to eight meters in 1958. The ‘Zeester' laid up for ten years and after this period they rebuilt the ship and it became a sailing boat. This ship is rightly named 'Zeestar'. Her beautiful proportions, deep-red colours, and light interior make this two masted clipper a star on the water. The ship easily sails on the Friesian inner lakes, because her beam is not very broad. However, there is plenty space on board and enough comfort to host large groups. Its spacious on-deck lounge offers a magnificent view over the beautiful water, nature, and historic port towns. Companies, families, and various clubs will all feel at home with the nice and friendly crew. Schools and other youth-clubs are more than welcome, and the crew of the ‘Zeester' is very experienced with accompanying young guests.
